CSA stands for "Community Supported Agriculture," also known as "farm shares." A CSA or farm share is a subscription to a farm for locally grown fresh produce. Our CSA members sign up in advance to receive a share of the harvest during our growing season. You will receive fresh seasonal produce, all grown organically on Hawk Ridge Farm.
CSA helps to bring farm-to-table food to local communities. Knowing where your food comes from and being a part of a local organic farm community will give you more confidence in the quality of your food. A CSA is the best way to support local farmers and feel connected to your local farm. It’s your share of the seasons harvest.
Harvest shares change with each season; we fill your box with fresh and ripe seasonal organic produce every week. A typical share is valued at $50 and is intended to be a weeks worth of fresh vegetables for a couple or small family. Below is an example of a share from early July; it includes Tomatoes, Zucchini with Blossoms, Shiitake Mushrooms, Lettuce, Snap Peas, Eggs, Basil, and Broccoli Microgreens, Thyme, and Chocolate Mint.
Visit our CSA Subscriptions pages to select the harvest share that best suits you and your lifestyle. Sign-up is also available when you visit our farm.
Our CSA harvest season runs from June to September, offering a wide range of fruits and vegetables. The season share is a 20 week share, we also offer a biweekly share if that fits your schedule better, which is a 10 week share.
